March 2010
A very special "THANKS" goes out to Michael Gelskey of Lift-It Mfg. this month for presenting two very informative seminars on synethic slings at our annual riggers conference in February in Sioux Falls, SD. Mike is a true dedicated road warrior when it comes to traveling the country and educating users of rigging products. We know the work place and jobs sites are much safer because of people like Mike. From all of us at Dakota Riggers, a great big "Atta Boy"! Keep up the great work you do.
With winter finally starting to wind down (even though it was 13 below zero at the end of February in the Dakotas and snow piled high) we are still very active in the tire chain business. The ice covered roads are still wearing out the tire chains, but we have been fortunate enough to still find product this late in the season to keep most customers up and running. Saying goodbye to winter will not come soon enough for all of us in the Dakotas.
It is the time of year to start checking out your idle rigging gear and weeding out the bad stuff before your jobs get going this spring. We are here to help answer any questions you may have as far as what is acceptable, regarding damaged rigging products. Give one of our representatives a call.
We are excited to launch our "Online Shopping Cart" this month at Dakota Riggers. I am sure we will have some adjustments to make along the way, so please be patient as we start this new feature. We hope it will make things easier for our customers and look forward to hearing from some of you regarding the new service. Happy Shopping. We thank Ben Kuhns and Joe (JR) Kuhns for the hours of hard work that has been put into this project.
We are having a "Ugly Sweater/Cabin Fever" party this weekend for the Dakota Riggers gang. We will possibly be posting the winning sweater in the near future.
Congrats to sales rep, Ben Kuhns on his engagement to Jessie Davis in February. The couple will be wed later this summer. Sorry girls, another "hot" rigging man bites the dust!!!
As always, be sure to check all rigging apparatus, safety products, and tools before "each and every" use to be safe. The life it saves, could be yours!
